LM..LUU Long-Type Linear Bearing Overview
The LM..LUU series represented on this page is the LM-family long-type / closed long cylindrical format with recirculating-ball guidance for round shafts. The listed models run from LM3LUU through LM80LUU. Outside diameter, overall length and the number of ball rows vary by model.
Select the bearing by its complete designation, dimensional requirements, load conditions, housing and operating environment. For the broader configuration overview, see the LM Series linear ball bearing family.

Specifications shown are for the LM..LUU series currently offered by DISLAB Precision. Load ratings and dimensions may vary between manufacturers. Confirm the complete designation, housing requirements and operating conditions before using these values for replacement or interchange decisions.
An em dash (—) indicates a dimension was not supplied for that model. The missing B, W and D1 values for LM3LUU and LM4LUU are not zero values; request the drawing if these dimensions are needed.
Understanding LM..LUU Dimensions
- dr
- Inner diameter / shaft diameter.
- D
- Bearing outside diameter.
- L
- Overall bearing length.
- B
- Distance between the outer stop grooves.
- W
- Outer stop-groove width.
- D1
- Outer stop-groove diameter.
Use the principal-dimension illustration together with the model table and housing drawing. No shaft tolerance or housing fit is implied by the nominal dimensions shown here.
LM..LUU and LME..LUU Long-Type Series
LM..LUU and LME..LUU are both long-type cylindrical linear-bearing series. LM..LUU is the LM-family long version represented on this page; LME..LUU is a separately sourced long-type metric series. They use different designation and dimensional systems, so model dimensions and load ratings must be checked individually. A matching shaft diameter alone does not establish interchangeability.
If the machine requires the LME long-type format, see our LME..LUU long-type linear ball bearings for that series’ dimensions and load ratings. Use the complete model code and housing requirements to compare candidate products.
Housing, Shaft and Installation Considerations
- Confirm the shaft diameter, housing bore and available bearing length.
- Maintain shaft and housing alignment, and confirm the retention arrangement.
- Avoid damaging seals or the bearing body during installation.
- Confirm the lubrication requirements and installation procedure for the selected model.
- Describe contamination, operating environment and motion conditions for application review.
Final design and installation should follow model-specific requirements. No universal installation force, lubricant grade or fit is assumed here.

Typical Applications
LM..LUU long-type formats may be considered for round-shaft arrangements in industrial automation, assembly and packaging machinery, material handling, machine tools, inspection equipment and positioning mechanisms. Suitability depends on the selected model and the complete machine arrangement.
Provide the actual load conditions, motion cycle and environment with the inquiry so application requirements can be reviewed before ordering.
Replacement and Model Confirmation
A matching shaft diameter does not establish interchangeability. Compare the complete designation, dr, D, L, B, W, D1, ball rows, dynamic load rating C and static load rating C₀, together with the housing arrangement, sealing configuration and operating requirements.
Basic dynamic and static load ratings describe different loading conditions. Do not treat either rating as a universal allowable machine load without reviewing the bearing arrangement, load direction and operating conditions.
For a replacement inquiry, send the old brand and model, a photograph or drawing, and any available housing dimensions. For broader format-selection considerations, use the KH vs LM linear bearing selection guide; it does not establish interchangeability between the supplied series.
Ordering Information
For an LM..LUU long-type quotation, provide:
- LM model / complete designation, shaft diameter and quantity.
- Application, known load conditions and housing dimensions.
- Replacement brand/model, if applicable.
