Product Overview

A Stronger Connection for Demanding Hose Assemblies

The DISLAB PRECISION black E-coated single-bolt hose clamp is designed for hose joints that require greater holding strength and structural rigidity than a conventional narrow-band clamp can provide.

Its wide metal band, reinforced bridge and single-bolt tightening mechanism distribute clamping force across a larger section of the hose. This helps maintain a stable connection while reducing concentrated compression at the band edges.

A smooth black electrophoretic coating creates a clean industrial finish and adds a protective surface barrier against moisture, atmospheric corrosion and selected chemical exposure.

The clamp is suitable for automotive systems, pumps, cooling equipment, agricultural machinery, industrial fluid lines and other hose assemblies exposed to regular vibration or pressure fluctuation.

Key Product Features

Designed for Reliable Clamping Performance

Each structural element is selected to provide controlled tightening, broad hose contact and dependable service under demanding conditions.

01

Black Electrophoretic Coating

The smooth E-coated finish provides consistent coverage over complex metal surfaces and adds protection against moisture, atmospheric corrosion and normal industrial exposure.

02

Wide-Band Clamping Surface

Band widths from 18 mm to 26 mm spread the tightening load across a broader hose area, helping reduce localized compression and edge loading.

03

Single-Bolt Tightening Mechanism

The bolt-operated construction allows straightforward installation, adjustment and maintenance using standard workshop tools.

04

Reinforced Bridge Construction

The formed bridge supports the fastening area and transfers bolt force into the band while helping the clamp retain its shape during tightening.

05

Corrosion-Resistant Material Options

W4 AISI 304 and W5 AISI 316 stainless steel configurations are available for general industrial, outdoor, marine and chloride-containing environments.

06

Reusable and Adjustable

The clamp can be loosened for hose inspection or replacement and may be reused when the band, bridge, bolt threads and coating remain undamaged.

Functional Components of the Clamp

Wide Formed Band

The smooth, non-perforated band surrounds the hose with a broad contact area and helps reduce direct contact between sharp edges and the hose cover.

Bolt and Axle Assembly

The bolt draws the clamp ends together through the formed fastening structure. Bolt size is matched to the clamp diameter, band dimensions and required mechanical load.

Reinforced Bridge

The bridge supports the fastening area, helps resist deformation and maintains controlled band alignment as the clamp is tightened.

Problems This Product Solves

Improved Reliability Where Light-Duty Clamps Fall Short

The wide-band bolt construction addresses common hose-connection problems found in vibrating, wet and mechanically demanding equipment.

01

Insufficient Clamping Force

Thick-wall and reinforced hoses may require greater holding strength than a light-duty narrow-band clamp can provide. The bolt structure offers a stronger tightening arrangement for correctly selected assemblies.

02

Uneven Hose Compression

A narrow band can concentrate force over a small area. The wider band spreads the load across more of the hose surface and helps improve connection stability.

03

Loosening Under Vibration

Pumps, engines, compressors and agricultural machines generate regular vibration. A properly sized and correctly tightened bolt clamp provides a more secure mechanical connection.

04

Premature Surface Corrosion

The black electrophoretic coating provides an additional protective barrier, while W4 and W5 stainless steel options improve resistance in wet, outdoor and chloride-containing environments.

Typical Applications

Built for Automotive, Industrial and Mobile Equipment

The clamp can be configured for a broad range of flexible hose and duct connections when the size, material and tightening requirements are properly matched.

Selection Guide

How to Select the Correct Single-Bolt Hose Clamp

Measure the Installed Hose Diameter

Measure the hose outside diameter after the hose has been fitted over the connector. Do not select the clamp only from the nominal hose inside diameter.

Confirm the Required Clamping Range

The installed hose diameter should fall comfortably within the usable adjustment range. Avoid forcing an undersized or oversized clamp onto the assembly.

Select the Band Width

Smaller connections may use 18 mm or 20 mm bands, while larger or more demanding assemblies may require 22 mm, 24 mm or 26 mm bands.

Match the Bolt Size

M5, M6, M8 and M10 options are available. Bolt size is normally matched to the clamp diameter, band section and expected load.

Check Pressure and Temperature

Provide the normal working pressure, peak pressure and operating temperature. These conditions influence the hose, fitting, clamp and tightening requirements.

Confirm the Operating Environment

Specify exposure to saltwater, road spray, cleaning chemicals, fertilizers, oils, fuels, acids, alkalis, humidity or outdoor weather.

Frequently Asked Questions

Technical Questions About E-Coated Single-Bolt Clamps

What is an electrophoretic-coated hose clamp?

It is a metal hose clamp with a protective coating deposited through an electrically controlled immersion process. The process is also known as electrocoating, electrodeposition coating or E-coating.

What is the correct international product name?

“Black E-coated single-bolt hose clamp” and “electrophoretic-coated single-bolt hose clamp” are natural professional descriptions. “European-style single-bolt hose clamp” identifies the structural design more clearly.

Is this the same as a T-bolt hose clamp?

No. Both products use a bolt to generate clamping force, but the band, bridge, fastening components and normal dimensional ranges may differ. This product should be identified as a European-style single-bolt or bolt-type hose clamp.

Is it a worm-drive hose clamp?

No. A worm-drive clamp uses a screw that engages with formed or perforated threads in the band. This product uses a bolt-and-bridge tightening structure.

What is the difference between W4 and W5?

W4 normally refers to AISI 304 stainless steel construction. W5 normally refers to AISI 316 stainless steel, which provides better resistance in saltwater, coastal and chloride-containing environments.

Does the black coating make the clamp completely rustproof?

No coating should be described as completely rustproof. Service life depends on the base material, coating condition, chemical exposure, installation damage and operating environment.

Can the clamp be used on high-pressure hoses?

Suitability must be evaluated as part of the complete connection. Working pressure depends on the hose construction, fitting geometry, clamp dimensions, tightening torque, temperature and required safety factor.

Can it be used on silicone hoses?

It can be used on suitable silicone hoses when the band width, diameter and tightening torque are correctly selected. Excessive tightening should be avoided because silicone is relatively soft.

Can the clamp be reused?

It may be loosened and refitted when the band, bridge, bolt threads and coating remain undamaged. Replace the clamp if it is permanently distorted, stretched, cracked or severely corroded.

How should I determine the correct clamp size?

Measure the hose outside diameter after installation on the fitting. Provide that measurement together with the hose material, working pressure and available installation space.

Are custom diameters available?

Yes. DISLAB PRECISION can manufacture custom diameter ranges, band dimensions, bolt sizes and material configurations based on drawings, samples or confirmed assembly dimensions.

Does this clamp comply with DIN 3017?

Compliance with a specific DIN 3017 section should only be stated after the product dimensions, material requirements and testing criteria have been formally verified. Specify the required standard during quotation.
