Product Overview

Fast Release Without Removing the Adjustment Setting

A conventional single-bolt hose clamp must be loosened through repeated turning before the hose can be removed. This quick-release version uses a mechanical lever latch that opens the clamp rapidly after the initial diameter has been adjusted.

Once the clamp has been set for the hose assembly, the lever can be opened for removal and closed again during reinstallation. This makes the clamp particularly useful for equipment that requires frequent cleaning, inspection, hose replacement or seasonal disassembly.

Quick-release operation: open or close the clamp using the integrated lever latch.
Reusable adjustment: the preset diameter can be retained between service cycles.
Wide-band compression: distributes clamping force over a larger hose surface.
Reinforced closure: the bridge supports the band beneath the latch mechanism.
Key Features

Designed for Repeated Installation and Hose Maintenance

The lever-operated closure reduces service time while the reinforced band structure supports stable fastening on suitable hose assemblies.

01

Quick-Release Lever Latch

The integrated lever allows the clamp to be opened and closed quickly after the required diameter has been set. Routine servicing does not require complete bolt removal.

02

Strong Single-Bolt Adjustment

The bolt assembly establishes the clamp diameter and mechanical tension, while the lever provides convenient release and re-engagement during repeated maintenance.

03

Uniform Pressure Distribution

The wide band spreads the clamping load across a larger contact area, helping reduce localized hose deformation and improve sealing consistency.

04

Reusable Service Connection

The clamp can be reopened for inspection, cleaning or hose replacement and then returned to its established adjustment when the assembly is reinstalled.

Galvanized and Stainless Steel Clamp Finishes

Clear zinc plating produces a bright silver-colored finish and provides basic surface protection for carbon steel components. It is also sometimes described as silver zinc or white zinc plating.

Yellow zinc plating provides a gold-toned appearance for general-purpose industrial applications. W4 and W5 versions can be supplied with a natural stainless steel finish.

Surface finish should be selected according to moisture, corrosion exposure and service conditions rather than appearance alone.

Operating Principle

How the Quick-Release Lever Clamp Works

The clamp is positioned around the installed hose, normally behind the raised bead or hose-barb section of the fitting.

The adjustment bolt is used to establish the required clamp diameter and closure tension. Once the initial setting is correct, the lever latch can be opened to release the clamp and closed again during subsequent installation.

This allows the hose to be removed without completely backing the adjustment bolt out of the clamp. The preset position can therefore be retained for repeated maintenance on the same hose and fitting combination.

The complete hose, fitting and clamp assembly should be checked under actual pressure, temperature and vibration conditions before regular operation.

Problems Solved

Reducing Service Time on Frequently Opened Connections

The reusable lever closure addresses common maintenance delays without giving up the stability of a wide-band clamp structure.

Problem

Clamp Removal Takes Too Long

Conventional bolt clamps must be loosened through repeated turning whenever the hose is removed.

DISLAB PRECISION Solution

The lever latch releases the clamp rapidly after the initial diameter adjustment has been completed.

Problem

The Adjustment Must Be Reset

Fully loosening a standard clamp may require the operator to find the correct setting again during reinstallation.

DISLAB PRECISION Solution

The quick-release mechanism can retain the established diameter for repeated use on the same connection.

Problem

Narrow Clamps Deform the Hose

A narrow band can concentrate pressure on a small section of the hose and create uneven compression.

DISLAB PRECISION Solution

The wide band distributes the clamping load over a larger contact area and reduces localized stress.

Problem

Carbon Steel Corrodes Prematurely

Moisture, outdoor exposure and marine conditions may cause unprotected carbon steel components to rust.

DISLAB PRECISION Solution

W2, W4 and W5 stainless steel configurations provide different levels of improved corrosion resistance.

Size Selection Guide

How to Select the Correct Clamp Diameter

The installed hose outside diameter is the key measurement. Hose wall thickness and fitting geometry can significantly change the final diameter after assembly.

Install the hose fully over the pipe, connector or hose barb.
Measure the outside diameter at the intended clamping position.
Select a clamp range that includes the measured diameter without operating at the extreme end of adjustment.
Confirm sufficient clearance for the lever to open and close.
Select the band width, bolt size and material according to the hose construction and operating environment.
Test the complete assembly for sealing, vibration and repeated release before production use.
Installation Recommendations

Adjustment, Positioning and Inspection

Position the clamp behind the raised fitting bead rather than directly on the edge of the hose or connector.

Keep the band square to the hose so pressure is distributed evenly around the circumference.

Adjust the bolt gradually until the lever closes securely. Do not force the lever if excessive resistance is present. Reopen the latch and correct the bolt setting instead.

Ensure the lever cannot contact moving components, hot surfaces or nearby equipment during operation.

Inspect the band, bridge, latch, pivot points and bolt threads before reusing the clamp.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick-Release Single-Bolt Hose Clamp FAQ

Practical information about adjustment, sizing, materials, repeated use and application limitations.

What is the correct international name for this clamp?

The recommended name is Quick-Release Single-Bolt Hose Clamp with Lever Latch. It may also be described as a quick-release T-bolt hose clamp, lever-action hose clamp or lever-latch hose clamp.

How is it different from a standard T-bolt hose clamp?

A standard T-bolt clamp is normally opened by loosening the nut or bolt. This version adds a mechanical lever latch, allowing the adjusted clamp to be released and reclosed more quickly.

Does the lever replace the adjustment bolt?

No. The bolt establishes the clamp diameter and closure tension. The lever provides quick release and re-engagement after the correct adjustment has been established.

Can the clamp retain its setting after removal?

In many service applications, the bolt setting can remain in position while the lever is opened. This allows the clamp to return to a similar adjustment when used again on the same hose and fitting.

Can it be used on silicone hoses?

It can be used on suitable silicone hoses when the clamp diameter, band width and closure force match the hose construction. Excessive compression should be avoided.

What is the difference between W1, W2, W4 and W5?

W1 uses galvanized steel. W2 combines stainless steel band components with galvanized fastening components. W4 uses stainless steel throughout, while W5 uses AISI 316 stainless steel throughout.

What does clear zinc-plated mean?

Clear zinc plating is a bright silver-colored zinc finish applied to carbon steel components. It is also sometimes called silver zinc or white zinc plating.

How should the correct clamp size be selected?

Install the hose over the fitting and measure the outside diameter at the intended clamping position. Select a clamp range that includes this installed diameter.

Can the quick-release clamp be reused?

Yes, provided the band, bridge, lever, pivot parts and bolt threads remain undamaged. Replace the clamp if any component is bent, cracked, corroded or excessively worn.

Can it be used on pressurized hose assemblies?

There is no universal working-pressure rating for the clamp alone. Safe pressure depends on the hose, fitting, clamp size, installation setting, temperature and operating conditions. The complete assembly should be tested.

Is it suitable for severe vibration?

Vibration performance depends on latch geometry, clamp dimensions, installation tension and equipment conditions. Severe-vibration or safety-critical connections should be validated under actual operating conditions.

Can W5 clamps be used in marine environments?

W5 AISI 316 stainless steel is the preferred configuration for marine, coastal and salt-containing environments. Final suitability depends on the actual exposure conditions.

Can DISLAB PRECISION customize the lever mechanism?

Yes. Lever geometry, clamp diameter, adjustment range, band thickness, bolt size, material and finish can be evaluated according to the drawing, sample and order quantity.
